Job Description

A financial services firm is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join their team in Charlotte, NC.

Within this role, you will act as a leader within the foundational domains around API Enablement and UI Modernization. You manage dependencies across enterprise workstreams, track all work, and to support key functions to drive delivery. You will serve as the integration point between the Digital Channel Technologies API and UI delivery teams and any consuming internal or 3rd party consumers. Additionally, you will deliver joint technology and business solutions and provide overarching governance and budgetary support for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology requests from inception to completion including gathering requirements from multiple sources, coordinating development activities to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality is maintained
  • Create a clear, coherent approach and framework to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
  • Serve as a technical resource to the team, utilizing available resources and ability to handle both standard and non-standard situations
  • Perform analysis and documentation of business and technology processes
  • Work across vertical processes, making connections to drive results and collaboration
  • Develop deployment deliverables
  • Help to resolve issues and mitigate risks, escalating issues where appropriate to leadership
  • Collect data tied to project deliverables and collating into comprehensive presentations for executive leadership team
  • Jump into workstreams already underway to help ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Establish and track appropriate agile metrics for the API program (i.e. capacity, velocity, burndown charts)

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years of work in a technology organization
  • Expertise in technical program management including planning, estimating, dependency mapping, and status reporting
  • Experience leading large scale horizontal projects or transformation efforts
  • Able to identify and secure resources and support from senior leaders across the company
  • Intellectual curiosity, data/fact driven, and ability to connect dots across the enterprise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical background in digital technologies with an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and overcoming technical and business challenges - comfortable pivoting focus quickly
