Job Description

A financial services firm is seeking a System Support Analyst to join their team in Charlotte, NC.


  • Use a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines including Oracle, MS SQL, SSIS 2014/2016 and Autosys
  • Work closely with our internal business partners and other technology teams
  • Define, document and implement processes and procedures for supporting client/server technologies
  • Recommend changes to assure SLAs can be supported
  • Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas
  • Work with developers and application owners to implement the change and document it
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Work under general supervision; typically report to a project leader or manager
  • Perform production support on weekends as part of an on-call team with experience in onsite/ offshore support model
  • Perform daily and weekly application implementations and change requests procedures
  • Provide weekly metrics report
  • Ensure all nightly production batch trails are completed on time based on SLA commitments


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience in application support
  • 7+ years of experience working in supporting banking applications
  • 5+ years of Oracle and SQL experience
  • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX/Linux systems
  • SQL Query writing experience in gathering information from SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle databases
  • Experience with BCP process
  • Experience in Problem and Incident Management
  • Knowledge of Autosys and IBM connect direct software
  • Able to write batch and shell scripts
  • Able to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause analysis and problem resolution follow-up
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like ITRS and App Dynamics
  • Experience coordinating with offshore/onshore teams and delegating work
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud
  • Good Knowledge of SSIS

May be required to support after hours and over weekends for release support work or production issue
