Job Description

A financial services firm is seeking a SharePoint Developer to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business-driven collaboration products in support of client
  • Provide resource estimates for given body of demand for development of applications
  • Work with business stakeholders to design and build business solutions based on requirements gathered or provided
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations consistent with stated requirements and priorities
  • Develop solutions that address data security requirements
  • Ensure all applications are securely developed to firm’s standards
  • Adhere to best practices on design and governance
  • Assist in defining and documenting best practices, usage standards and governance and offer guidance in same to business teams
  • Perform hands-on development using a variety of tools in the SharePoint and related domains
  • Contribute data analytics and metrics related to products
  • Provide technical consulting and leadership to management and business users
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and techniques for meeting business objectives
  • Work with various customers to understand their business and help to define and articulate requirements
  • Maintenance and support of existing applications

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels within technical and business organizations
  • Architecture, Analysis and Design skills covering collaboration technology with focus on SharePoint
  • Ability to automate business processes using SharePoint, Nintex and other technologies
  • Experience with SharePoint 2013, 2019, SharePoint On-line, Office 365, Flow, PowerApps, Microsoft Teams, Azure AD and Intune
  • Experience leveraging JavaScript, DHTML, and the SharePoint REST API to customize the user interface and functionality of SharePoint applications
  • Knowledge of data-related end-user desktop applications (e.g. Excel, MS Access)
  • Ability to learn and apply new software technologies
  • Experience with developing business and functional requirements and participating in the software development lifecycle
  • Familiar with banking, financial concepts, financial data and market data
  • Expertise in data tools, technologies and programming languages (Tableau, SQL, R, Python, PowerShell, etc.) strongly preferred
