Job Description

A law firm is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects of medium to high complexity using standard business analysis and project management methodologies
  • Design and implement integrations between core systems
  • Develop custom applications as needed by the business
  • Develop SharePoint content following industry and SharePoint best practices
  • Establish best practices and standards regarding the SharePoint development environment
  • Customize and enhance third-party platforms and applications
  • Manage third party platforms and communicate with vendor representatives
  • Communicate with IT developers, external vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Provide production support for all SharePoint and related systems, and managing other resources when necessary
  • Manage user and technical documentation and specifications for all SharePoint and related systems
  • Retrieve usage data and provide usage analysis for business stakeholders
  • Perform installations and upgrades
  • Implementation of Intranet websites and pages with the focus on UI custom solutions and front-end design

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Services, or a business related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in an information services department or organization
  • 5+ years of experience developing custom SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 solutions
  • 3-5 years of experience with .NET development
  • 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005-2016, SSRS, SSIS
  • Expert level design and development experience with SharePoint 2013/2016 Designer and SharePoint APIs
  • Expertise with web technologies such as HTML5, XSL, JavaScript/jQuery, and CSS
  • Expert level experience developing custom web parts, applications pages, workflows, event receivers, and timer jobs
  • Expert level experience with SharePoint system integrations using third party tools
  • Expert level experience deploying and supporting custom-built and out-of-the box solutions with SharePoint 2013 and 2016
  • Intermediate to expert level development experience with Microsoft .NET and Object Oriented Programming, ideally including C#, ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC, ADO.NET and SOAP / REST Web Services
  • Experience in relational database design and development, preferably SQL Server
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET (2010 and above)
  • Experience with team collaboration tools/source control applications, preferably Team Foundation Server and Visual Source Safe
  • Intermediate level SharePoint administration experience
  • Understanding of other infrastructure technologies as they relate to SharePoint, including but not limited to, Active Directory, Security Boundaries, and Networking
  • A high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level
  • Self-motivation and a strong business sense to capture and fulfill the business requirements for all products and to articulate those needs in an architecture model
  • Knowledge of standard legal software applications including but not limited to iManage/Autonomy products, InterAction CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite of products preferred
