Job Description

A financial firm is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Track issues using the ticketing system and answer internal and external inquiries related to the production trading environment
  • Work with the Client Services and other teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in global support meetings when requested
  • Participate in night and weekend support and software releases

Qualifications

Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related field
  • 4-6 years of experience working in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience supporting financial markets products
  • Able to create/review system/support metrics in order to ensure excellence in service to clients
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP and Networking fundamentals
  • Experience with data analytics/trending of metrics
  • Knowledge of the ITRS monitoring Geneos solution
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting language

Preferred

  • Knowledge writing basic SQL queries
  • Experience with external API connectivity protocols 
  • Batch Scheduling Experience 
  • Experience using ticketing systems 
  • Experience supporting a cloud environment 
  • Experience in an Agile development structure
