Job Description

A multinational financial services company is seeking a Java Developer to join their team in Irving, Texas.

Responsibilities:
• All phases of development the process – analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation in agile development lifecycles 
• Collaborating with business partners to analyze user stories & ensure they are clear, concise, and technically feasible
• Translate user stories into innovative solutions that provide an excellent client experience and align with Digital’s architectural roadmap. 
• Preparing detailed technical designs that account for security, resiliency, scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and supporting complex financial applications
• Improvements of processes, application designs, and application executions
• Collaborating with onshore/offshore contract resources to ensure processes and standards are being adhered to

Qualifications: 
• Bachelors degree  in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of hands–on experience . 
• 5+ years of experience with Java 8, Gemfire, developing applications using Java/J2EE and Web Services
• The ability to implement business critical, high volume, and highly available web-based applications
• Strong knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and testing tools such as Junit and LeanFT
• A proven track record in cloud based development leveraging Cloud Foundry in PaaS environment
• Familiar with git and RTC for source control 
• The ability to work in an agile environment 

Preferred Qualifications: 
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design
• The ability to lead teams of 10 developers including employees, onshore and offshore contractors
• Knowledge of the financial industry 
• Experience layeing architecture, building micro services and connecting to API's
