Job Description

An investment management company is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their team in New York, New York.

Within this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of the firm’s web-based analytics modules, model portfolios platform, visualizations, RESTful APIs, and other platform toolkits, as well as supporting the development and performance of their front-end architecture.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in finance and technology
  • Experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies (Javascript, ReactJS or Angular.js, SASS and Python is preferred)
  • Expertise in one or more of the following languages: PHP, Scala, Haskell, .NET
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C, and C++ and Ember, React or Angular
  • Experience in financial markets and related services 
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (unit testing, code re-usability, version control, etc.)
  • Experience programming against Microsoft SQL Server, or other database servers
  • Experience navigating and developing in a UNIX environment
  • Experience with enterprise big data builds with high availability and disaster recovery using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience linking multiple data platforms (social media, news, email, etc.)
  • Expert building datamarts for visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Microstrategy, Qlik, Tableau)
  • Experience with Agile software development – Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • C++/Java aptitude or any other high-level programming languages to support mathematical analysis (e.g. R, Python, Matlab, Excel) is a plus
