Describe My Day

There really won’t be a typical day here but we’ll try our best to describe what working at OST is like. Some of the below will be responsibilities that come as you grow and learn while others will be part of your day to day from the very beginning. Here are some things that may come up while working as a recruiter at OST:

  • A new job just came out and the account manager needs 5 strong candidates by the end of the day. You’re on LinkedIn sending Inmails, reaching out to your network to ask for referrals or going on Monster to see who is currently active and may be a fit.
  • You just got in touch with a great candidate and after spending 30 minutes on the phone with them, have a great sense of what they are looking for in their next role. Your next steps are to send them descriptions of potential opportunities as well as market them internally to account managers to see if there are other roles that they would fit.
  • You hear about a lunch meetup of industry professionals and you go to learn more about the industry as well as offer your services as a recruiter
  • You just got told that your candidate got the job. You now get to call them and deliver the exciting new and start the offer/onboarding process!

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (MUST HAVE)
  • You have some experience with recruiting and/or sales (internships and/or part-time experience counts!)
  • You have a strong interest in recruiting!!
  • You are a competitive and positive individual with a desire to match candidates with their perfect career opportunity
  • You are highly ambitious and possess strong critical thinking skills
  • You are proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • You are organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and relationships
  • You have a passion and acumen for the industries we recruit in
  • You have outstanding communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills
  • You are self-motivated and able to thrive with little direct supervision
