Job Description

Our client is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to join their team in Red Bank, NJ.


  • Identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality
  • Work with Business Intelligence to implement data control for more effective data collection and storage, as well as perform strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected
  • Filtering and “cleaning” data by reviewing existing datasets to correct any data problems
  • Developing and implementing test plans and scripts for various data quality processes
  • Understand and document Data Model
  • Identify data fields, its usage, rules and define quality control around it
  • Evaluate datasets for accuracy and quality
  • Extract data from various systems, clean and wrangle for the purpose of migrating to another system and/or for analytics and reporting
  • Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mapping
  • Provide ongoing reports on the effects of different strategies and observes any trends or issues to raise with senior management
  • Leverage SQL queries or adhoc method to perform above tasks
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Data Quality Analyst or related field
  • Aptitude to understand data, map it across multiple systems, identify and correct quality issues
  • Ability to quickly become familiar with the Bank’s database framework, and the sources and uses of data
  • SQL experience and working with relational databases as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
  • Understand visualization tools (Power BI, ThoughtSpot, QlikView) used by the Bank for business intelligence analytics and reporting
  • Aptitude to gain familiarity and knowledge of database architecture, coding, and logic
  • Highly motivated and organized, with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills (particularly MS Excel)
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; strong inter-personal skills
  • Experience in TotalPlus or similar Banking system preferred
