Our client is seeking a Customer Experience Test Lead to join their team in Red Bank, New Jersey.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead the QA functions, including setting the QA strategy for the Customer Experience program including the customer experience for employees, prospective and current customers, and shareholders
  • Manage team of test analysts, prioritizing and directing work, providing feedback and ensuring quality deliverables
  • Ensure leadership skills in QA strategy definition for website, mobile, and tablet integrated solutions including experience with cross browser testing concepts and tools and mobile device testing and validation
  • Guide the creation of testing strategies for Web/UI testing experience to be able to ensure web pages are on brand, including brand voice, testing web UI, and experience editing and proof-reading content
  • Lead QA definition for web content operations including content tagging, SEO and on-site search, workflow, governance, indexation, page properties, and redirect mapping
  • Work with scrum teams, architecture, program and project leadership, and internal and external test resources to ensure QA function meets objectives and is executed efficiently
  • Communicate to program and project leadership the status of QA and work to mitigate risks
  • Manage appropriate test environments and tools, including test automation tools, and/or recommend changes as appropriate
  • Work with infrastructure and cyber security teams to arrange the hardware and software requirements for the test setup
  • Ensure that test teams follow established test standards, guidelines, and methodology; Recommend changes as appropriate; Advocate for the bugs/product changes that will help overall customer experience
  • Guide objectives and manage phase containment across different test phases including Unit Test, Functional QA, Systems Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, End-to-End, and Data testing
  • Manage constituent test teams’ work throughout test plan development and test execution to ensure that QA works within program timelines and budgets
  • Ensure that all test results are easily accessible, understandable, and stored in a common repository
  • Measure and monitor progress during each test phase to ensure that the application is tested, validated, and deployed on time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations
  • Review test, validation, and results to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria
  • Participate in quality management reviews to ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards
  • Identify test cases that could or should be automated and can be made part of the continuous delivery pipeline
  • Identify and implement test center capabilities that will integrate without effort with JIRA
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders to understand business objectives, anticipate demand and rapidly respond with working solutions
  • Develop an understanding of all integrated systems that will be impacted by the implementation and develop strategy and plan for testing that will need to occur
  • Analyze requirements and aid in designing test plans, cases and data sets to ensure solutions meet business goals, objectives and functional/non-functional requirements in alignment with architectural standards
  • Work with other team members and leaders, proactively identify and mitigate/resolve risks and issues; Manage and oversight of test team to ensure timely test execution, proper test result documentation, timely defects/issues reporting, and timely retest
  • Identify tasks and interrelationships to evaluate technical and cross-technical requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal customers around testing methodologies and how to successfully plan and execute testing strategies across integrated solutions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience with testing and test leadership across multiple phases and types of testing, from planning through execution
  • 4+ years of experience in Web Content Management, Digital, and CRM, quality leadership roles
  • At least one full cycle experience in test leadership for Salesforce Platform or SAP CRM or HANA Platform AND Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Sitecore Experience Manager and related testing APIs
  • Experience with defining, implementing, and maintaining project process guidance related to testing
  • Experience providing technical leadership to project resources to meet testing deadlines and objectives
  • Able to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
  • Experience with documenting and communicating the status of testing progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Experience writing test plans and test cases, and documenting software defects and anomalies
  • Able to develop and manage all aspects of the testing effort, including plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel
  • Knowledge of the SDLC as well as various software testing methodologies
  • Experience with Agile Scrum delivery and Waterfall delivery frameworks
  • Experience working with distributed external resources and vendor teams (onshore and offshore)
  • Experience with at least one of the following project and QA tools – JIRA, Team/SharePoint, Test Suites such as HP Quality Center, Zephyr, or Selenium
  • Experience with at least one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Java, JavaScript, Unix, XML)
  • Experience with configuration management/build management procedures
  • Exposure to a range of business applications- CRM, ERP (Oracle), WCM, WAM, Billing Applications as well as working with both cloud and on-prem solutions, including legacy
  • Able to troubleshoot and program complex application stack
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Able to work well with global team members/suppliers, as well as working independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the utility industry preferred
