Job Description

A health services organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join their team in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain working relationships with all internal and external partners
  • Develop and deliver complex analytics and reporting projects and/or solutions Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources and support/perform qualitative data analysis to find root causes/opportunities
  • Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
  • Provide ad hoc and analysis support to the delivery teams that are aligned to ingesting storing of ESI data within our strategic data environment
  • Create graphical and narrative representations of outcomes analysis performed using Tableau
  • Provide support to delivery teams that are responsible for ensuring existing applications/dashboards are held harmless and enhanced (where applicable) as a result of the ESI integration – This may include analysis, new solution design, and validation activities
  • Present data to drive business decisions; Deliver data products in a timely manner using effective report and/or presentation formats intended to convey clinical performance of the organization for product development and improvement

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, etc.); Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working with health care data (claims, provider, eligibility, etc.); Experience with Medial, Pharmacy and Dental claims data preferred
  • Technical skills using various data mining and business intelligence tools such as SAS, Tableau, R, Python, Json, and SQL
  • Knowledge of enterprise data warehouses such as Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, DB2, etc.
  • Understanding of managed care business processes, data, systems, and applications for claims payment, enrollment, benefit design, and utilization management
  • Able to independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
  • Able to validate and interpret results. Strong communication skills to include written, oral, and group presentations
  • Able to work independently while also fully leveraging matrix relationships
  • SQL server, .Net, Java and Business Objects experience desired
