Job Description

Our client is seeking an Application Integration Specialist to join their team in Red Bank, New Jersey.


  • Plan integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams
  • Provide integration environment technical knowledge and experience during the planning, execution, and management of integrating new applications into the existing application environment
  • Provide integration environment technical knowledge and experience during the planning, execution, and management of integrating new application integration technologies into the existing AI environment
  • Identify and resolve systems issues
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives
  • Identify common patterns and document best practices for integration
  • Mentor Integration Solution Architects in carrying out application design tasks
  • Follow an integration methodology considering Middleware tools and data architecture
  • Work with Project Managers and Delivery Coordinators to implement a solution that will meet business requirements within time and cost constraints


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 6-8+ years of experience in application integration management
  • 3+ years of direct experience in enterprise-level application integration
  • 3+ years of database experience (DB2, Sequel, Oracle)
  • 5+ years of experience working with web-based architecture
  • 3+ years developing Web Services (SOA/SOAP/REST/XML) applications
  • Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST
  • Experience with tools to include: Toad, XMLSpy, and Subversion
  • Experience with XML constructs, XSD and schemas
  • Experience overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping
  • Experience in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering
  • Experience with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods
  • Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Understanding of end-user needs and requirements
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, proficiency in programming languages and data structures, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role
  • Hands-on experience with automated integration tools, including IBM integration toolsets:
    • Enterprise Service Bus and/or iPaaS
    • Service Oriented Architectures – SOAP, WSDL
    • MQ Series setup and management
    • WebSphere Application Server
    • Experience with web service orchestration tools
